True to its mission of offering more than a commodity shopping experience, FilingSupplies.com introduces its new service: a no-cost consultation with a Certified Records Manager to help organizations find answers to compliance requirements for their industry and other common records management related questions:
What is a Certified Records Manager (CRM)?
A CRM is a records and information professional that is experienced in active and inactive record systems and related disciplines such as electronic systems and records, electronic mail (email) and newer communication technologies, hard copy records including microfilm, paper, artifacts, etc., archives, imaging and other conversion systems among other disciplines. Certification is obtained by meeting both educational and work experience certification requirements established by the Institute of Certified Records Manager (ICRM) and by passing the required examinations. The CRM designation requires meeting continuing education requirements for re-certification on an ongoing basis.
How can a CRM assist organizations with their records and information questions and issues?
The CRM has many years experience in all aspects of records and information programs and systems and can provide recommendations on filing methods and basic requirements of a records program including policies, procedures, retention schedules and auditing requirements. The CRM can also provide, in certain instances, general retention requirements. However, all retention requirements should be reviewed by legal counsel to ensure that it meets the specific requirements of your company and industry. This advice, recommendations or suggestions provided by the CRM do not, in any way, constitute legal advice.
Our no-cost 15-minute consultation is designed to provide basic and easy to apply answers to most records management and information questions, and allow organizations in need to determine if more consultation is required.
