Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) August 14, 2009
Los Angeles-based soul singer-songwriter, Gaby Moreno, is currently performing as direct support for Tracy Chapman's Summer 2009 Tour.
Moreno, who most recently co-wrote the theme song to the NBC television show "Parks and Recreation" (starring Amy Poehler), joined Chapman on a fourteen-city North American summer tour. The tour began on July 31 in Boston with stops in New York City and Washington, D.C. Upcoming dates include The Wiltern in Los Angeles on August 19 and 2 dates at The Fillmore in San Francisco on August 21 and 22.
Says Moreno, "I got the call from Tracy's folks a few days before the tour. I grabbed my guitar, packed my bag and jumped on a plane to Boston for the first show! It's been such a thrill to open for Tracy and it's been so exciting for me to play places like The Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC and the 9:30 Club."
Moreno, originally from Guatemala, will be performing songs from her most recent album entitled "Still the Unknown" along with new material, both in Spanish and English.
This is Moreno's first tour in support of a major recording artist. She is represented by Jake Versluis at Verse Management Corp. in Los Angeles. See the most recent updates from Gaby at http://www.myspace.com/gabymoreno.
