The AVImark User Group meeting will be held Sept. 16 - 18 in St. Louis. Veterinarians can receive up to nine C.E. credits for sessions ranging from basic AVImark software skills to advanced practice management principles.

Next month, McAllister Software Systems, creators of AVImark veterinary software, will host its annual AVImark User Group conference in St. Louis, MO. Veterinarians can receive up to nine C.E. credits for sessions ranging from basic AVImark software skills to advanced practice management principles, such as improving practice value, meeting AAHA standards for electronic medical records, and under-utilized AVImark features that can save practices time and money.

"The goal of our annual user group meeting is to arm AVImark clinics with the tools they need to use AVImark to its fullest capacity," said Stephen McAllister, president of McAllister Software Systems. "Software is an integral part of a practice - it touches all operations. The ability to use it correctly can increase compliance, better market a clinic, improve efficiency and profitability, and ultimately enable a practice to reach its greatest potential."

The user group meeting will feature sessions on a host of current topics, some taught by well-known guest speakers:

  • Basic AVImark essentials, such as entering clients and patients, scheduling, whiteboard use, and other time-saving tips
  • Profitability, productivity, and practice value (part of the AVImark Practice Builder® service, taught by Practice Management Consultant Dr. Martin Miller)
  • Client Communication (marketing, reminder strategies, and improving patient care)
  • Paperless practices (including a "Going Green" session taught by Dr. Stephen Pittenger)
  • Security (including credit card processing)
  • AAHA Standards and electronic medical records (taught by Jill Foreman, MBA, CVPM)

Plus inventory management, accounts receivables, integrating lab results, and more.

The conference will run from Sept. 16 - 18 at the new Hilton on the Ballpark in downtown St. Louis.
