ApexCCTV announces its extended partnership with VivoTek. ApexCCTV is now a direct distributor for VivoTek, and will be offering their full product line in stock and ready to ship. This will include VivoTek's new "True Megapixel Solutions" line of IP surveillance cameras.

ApexCCTV partners with VivoTek, a leading provider of IP surveillance equipment, to provide its customers with world class IP based surveillance solutions at highly competitive pricing. ApexCCTV will soon be carrying all VivoTek products in stock and ready to ship, including their IP cameras, Network Video Recorders, and their new True Megapixel Solutions product line.

Effective immediately, ApexCCTV has the capability to provide world-class IP based surveillance solutions to distribution channels, resellers, integrators, and installers at greatly reduced pricing. The Allen, TX company's focus on best-in-class pre-sales engineering and post-installation support make this relationship a perfect fit.

Security and surveillance are becoming increasingly important in a modern world. Video surveillance has seen steady growth in the last ten years, and while the market is still dominated by analog video solutions, IP based solutions are quickly making ground.

IP surveillance means transmission of digital cameras feeds over IP networks. It offers the benefits of both digital and networking technologies. Digital video capture and storage allows the systems to capture and store images far superior to analog solutions, and video and audio compression enable the reduction of both bandwidth and storage requirements. Due the this massive increase in video resolution, a single camera can now effectively cover an area more than 6 times the size of a typical analog camera. Additionally, in areas where high-detail is needed, IP cameras provide clarity and analytics that were simply unavailable just a few years ago.

Networking technology allows systems to be integrated with existing infrastructure, which is much less expensive then standalone installations. Networked systems also provides 24/7 access to current and archived video feeds anywhere in the world that an internet connection is available.

An IP surveillance installation includes network cameras on the front end and central management software and the back end, with an IP network connecting the parts. The cameras capture and compress images in real-time and transmit them over the network in the form of video streams. When the central monitoring station receives the video feeds, they are ready for storage, reducing the need for expensive high-end servers. These feeds can be scaled to display on various media, such as PC monitors, television screens, and even cellular phones in real time.

By supplying all needed parts of the installation from a single manufacturer, ApexCCTV will be able to eliminate many of the problems with current solutions offered by mixed-manufacturer installations, such as compatibility, codec management, various non-standard transport and control protocols, and CPU intensive video transcoding. VivoTek's solutions are simple to use, purpose built, and designed to work together seamlessly.
