The Volunteer Family, a national nonprofit encouraging and facilitating family volunteering, is pleased to announce that Bright Horizons Family Solutions, the world's leading provider of employer-sponsored child care, early education, and work/life solutions, will be their primary sponsor.

This new support will enable The Volunteer Family to launch a series of initiatives including enhanced searching capabilities for families interested in volunteering, additional resources that educate parents about teaching philanthropic behavior, and family-friendly volunteering events at Bright Horizons child care centers and schools.

Bright Horizons' sponsorship of The Volunteer Family is a valuable extension of its Toward a Better World: Helping Children make a Difference curriculum that teaches children at a young age to be aware, responsible citizens, to protect the earth, to celebrate all people, and to reach out to those in need.

"Helping children develop a strong sense of social responsibility is a core part of the mission and culture of both organizations. We are pleased to support The Volunteer Family and partner with them to further enhance the types of opportunities that benefit children, families, and the community as a whole," said Bright Horizons Senior VP of Business Operations Dave Shaby.

Heather Jack, President of The Volunteer Family said, "Bright Horizons already has a long legacy of community service and a deep appreciation of the importance of helping children and families become giving members of society. Their sponsorship demonstrates their true dedication to the children and families they serve. We feel privileged to be working with them."
