"We are delighted to welcome Geoff Freeman to the EMA," said Kelly Foy, chief executive officer of Elite Meetings. "At a time when accurate public information is critical to the advancement--even the survival--of the meetings industry, and as we combat misinformation and prepare for recovery, we are proud to offer meeting professionals and hoteliers the latest news directly from the leading spokesperson for the industry."

EMI's Foy concluded, "The need for meeting professionals and hotels to come together as we emerge from a financial storm speaks for itself, and we are delighted to complement this year's business-building opportunities with the most cutting-edge information the industry has to offer. We look forward to another record turnout at the Fall 2009 EMA."

Additional speakers at the Fall 2009 EMA will include Mark Komine, senior vice president, sales - the Americas, for Hilton Hotels Corporation, who will provide a global perspective on international sales and development activity.
