The 2nd annual Virginia Irish Music Festival will be held on the historic grounds of The Blackthorne Inn, Upperville, VA, on September 5 & 6, 2009. This year's festival features a premier international assembly of Irish bands such as - Solas, The Prodigals, The Dublin City Ramblers, Ceann, and Shannon Lambert Ryan & Runa.

"The festival will feature some of the finest international Irish talent as well as presenting local musicians in a big-event atmosphere. We want to showcase contemporary Irish music as well as some of the more traditional forms of Irish art. The two-day event will feature a host of artistic talent, as well as Irish food and drink," said Shane O'Connor of Virginia Festival Promoters.

For 2009, we have teamed with Project Enduring Pride, a 501-C-3 charitable organization, to provide funding for their projects on behalf of seriously wounded service members in recovery and rehabilitation at the Walter Reed & National Naval Medical Centers.

Tickets for the event can be purchased at the Blackthorne Inn, or on-line at http://www.theirishfestival.com .Cost of advance tickets are $20 for one day and $30 for both days. Tickets may be purchased, if available, at the gate for $25 per day.
