TACTIC™, the production asset management solution from Southpaw Technology, becomes the backbone for several projects moving forward at Omation, the animation division at O Entertainment.

We are extremely excited to be working with Omation

Southpaw Technology, a leading developer of production asset management solutions announced today that Omation, the animation division at O Entertainment is standardizing its production pipeline on TACTIC. An open system, TACTIC is the first solution that brings asset management together with workflow and project management. The deep, flexible features of TACTIC will give Omation's producers and artists more control over their assets and production timelines, which ultimately equates to a better return on investment (ROI) for each episode they produce.

"Since the introduction of TACTIC into our studio what used to take a tremendous amount of work to assess the status of a project, literally now takes seconds. TACTIC not only works seamlessly as an internal control system; it has also been a great collaboration tool for our growing international outsourcing teams," says Anthony Lopez, Director of Technology at Omation. "Moving forward we will be using TACTIC for our upcoming projects and past projects will be migrated to TACTIC for internal reporting and tracking historical activities."

Omation is implementing TACTIC throughout their production pipeline - from art, to post and every process in between. Each day Omation's production team logs into TACTIC to check their assignments, send notes, review shots and upload art. Every process is clearly packaged within TACTIC ensuring team members do not have to sort through file systems and Excel files to find what they need. With TACTIC the entire production workflow is organized under one program, greatly increasing the efficiency of the studio.

"We are extremely excited to be working with Omation," said Gary Mundell, Southpaw Technology CEO and co-founder. "With a constant stream of high-quality projects, Omation is relying on TACTIC's production asset management tools to increase workflow efficiencies. We look forward to working together to meet their future production pipeline requirements."

As media assets for film and television, gaming, marketing, and computer-aided design (CAD) continue to grow, the need for an easy-to-use, yet cost-effective production asset management system is critical. Developed and used in the most demanding media pipeline environments, TACTIC solves the most challenging production issues faced by today's digital content creators by combining four essential production elements - asset management, workflow management, project management and communication tools - into one complete solution. By complimenting the workflow with an open API, TACTIC allows studios to easily integrate it into any existing toolset or pipeline.
