Smetana's background includes more than 20 years experience in high technology sales in enterprise software, channel sales, consulting services and systems integration.

Prior to joining Sergeant Laboratories, Smetana was with Oracle's Enterprise 2.0 strategic accounts sales team. Before that, he served as Director of Channel Sales for Captovation, Inc., which was acquired by Oracle Corporation in 2008.
As Director of Midwest Business Sales, Smetana is responsible for new client acquisition, with primary emphasis placed on the business sector in major markets and verticals. Additionally, he will work to establish strategic relationships and alliances with companies, consultants and organizations focused on IT security, compliance, improving IT asset utilization and establishing and enforcing acceptable use policies.
