Released as part of the "American Masters" series on PBS, "Les Paul: Chasing Sound" chronicles Paul's iconic career and legendary talent. Speaking of Paul, Eastman, who consulted on the documentary, recounts his two-year journey with the man who "Was a bit reticent to jump into anything. He was understandably guarded of his legacy and his story, so he wanted to make sure whoever was telling it would do so objectively and give it a fair treatment."

Known as "The Wizard of Waukesha" after his birthplace Waukesha, Wisconsin, Paul's influence on music stretches through jazz, rock and pop. Credited as the father of multi track recording, Paul was equally an impactful force on the evolution of guitars, music, and modern culture.

In the piece written following Paul's recent passing, Eastman recounts Paul's love for playing live music, the disability he suffered following the car accident, his days with Bing Crosby and Paul's never ending chase of sound.
