Whisperingtree.net presents its 3rd Annual Service Day Healing Clinic at the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum, Saturday, October 24, 2009. This Annual Healing Clinic provides active duty and veteran military personnel with complementary care healing services throughout the day.

From 10am-2pm, healing practitioners will have a range of healing stations set up in special areas for all visiting military personnel. Visitors will have a choice of Acupuncture, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Healing Touch, Reiki, Massage Therapy, and several other forms of complementary healing. There is no charge for attending the event, and all practitioners donate their time and expertise in gratitude for our service members.

"We see the benefits of integrative care every day. Many easy, non-invasive techniques bring about deep relaxation and relief. Our annual Healing Clinic is an opportunity for service members to experience a variety of complementary care practices and explore their benefits," says Ana Palles, managing director of Whisperingtree.net LLC.

"Our annual Healing Clinic is our way of introducing military families to valuable integrative care," says Palles.

In a February 2009 statement, Iowa Senator Tom Harkin says that "an integrative approach that takes advantage of the very best scientifically based medicines and therapies, whether conventional or alternative" is worth adopting. "Today, we are not just talking about alternative practices but also the integration between conventional and alternative therapies in order to achieve truly integrative health. We need to have practitioners talking with each other, collaborating to treat the whole person," says Senator Harkin.

According to the 2007 National Health Interview Survey (NHIS), "Approximately 38 percent of adults use some form of CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine) for health and wellness or to treat a variety of diseases and conditions."

The Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum is co-sponsoring the event, and visitors to the Healing Clinic are welcome to browse the museum before or after meeting with any healing practitioner. Refreshments will be served and gift bags will be available as supplies last.
