viagogo, Europe's leading secondary ticketing company, today announced a deal to become the official secondary ticketing partner for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at The O2 on 22-29 November 2009. Tennis fans will be able to buy and sell tickets to the event in a safe and secure way using viagogo's platform. Every transaction is guaranteed.
The Barclays ATP World Tour Finals is the climax of the men's professional tennis season, featuring only the world's best eight qualified singles players and doubles teams. To date, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have qualified for the singles event, along with the Bryan brothers and Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic in the doubles event. This is the first year that the tournament has been held in London in its 40 year history.
This ground breaking deal follows hot on the heels of viagogo's recent deal with the French Tennis Federation to become the Official Secondary Ticket Exchange of Roland-Garros and the BNP Paribas Masters, the first such deal to be initiated in France.
Eric Baker, CEO of viagogo, said: "We are delighted to be working with the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals for their first year in the UK. We look forward to helping tennis fans get tickets to see the tennis elite battle it out for the last big title of the year."
A spokesperson from the ATP, said: "The ATP is delighted to be able to provide tennis fans with a safe and secure platform to buy and sell tickets for the ATP World Tour's flagship end of season event."
