I've been using UploaditOnce as a beta tester for several months now. These days, I can't live without it!

A new uploading service looks set to transform an industry.
Boat brokers, manufacturers and dealers typically have dozens, or even hundreds of boats for sale. To effectively market a yacht or boat, it is best to advertise on all the popular boating websites. For each boat, it can take up to half an hour to enter the diverse information and upload pictures into a website.
A typical broker might need to upload fifty boats, each into five or more different websites. That requires hundreds of hours of work - time that is completely wasted, and that would be better spent selling boats.
Uploaditonce is a service that provides a streamlined interface for uploading boat information once, and then a back-to-back service that re-uploads that information to all the popular boating websites. It removes the need for a broker to repeatedly re-enter the same information into multiple sites.
Says company CEO Andrew Steer, "The Uploaditonce service has the potential to save a broker/dealer/manufacturers months of work every year. We knew this was unprecedented technology, but we are stunned by how well it has been received."
Uploaditonce was released a few weeks ago at the Sydney Boatshow, the largest Marine event in the Southern Hemisphere. Enthusiasm from the industry was unanimous, from brokers, dealers, manufacturers, and the advertising websites alike. Within a period of one week, almost 15% of all Australian brokers have already requested to sign up for the Uploaditonce service.
Darren Crone, COO of Uploaditonce explains how they came up with the idea. "After designing and building web sites for years, we've used pretty much every design tool, and many Content Management Systems. Uploading information to websites, databases and across the Internet poses significant technical challenges, way beyond the scope of normal tools, so we were unsure if we could provide a cost effective solution for the brokers."
Then, through a fortunate set of circumstances they heard about a product named ToolTwist. A relatively unknown product, ToolTwist is a high-performance website development tool designed to address the needs of big business. A common need is to update and access information distributed across back office systems. Says Crone, "It is far more flexible than normal CMS and e-commerce technologies, and it's extensibility made it possible for us to build and release Uploaditonce".
People like Daniel Burns of Rowell Marine, a well known brokerage in the Sydney area are enthusiastic about the result. "I've been using UploaditOnce as a beta tester for several months now. These days, I can't live without it!"
Content aggregation has received a lot of attention lately, but the more useful (and difficult) task is content dispersal. ToolTwist has been doing it for many years, and when combined with WBD, their new website creation tool, the Internet can be used in new ways, and entirely new industries can be addressed.
Says Crone, "ToolTwist is designed to quickly handle all the normal website development activities. More importantly though, it is designed to be flexible in it's extensibility and handling of data. In the case of Uploaditonce, that involves uploading and synchronizing remote systems. Super-high performance and a Web 2.0 user interface also help."
So, what does the future hold? Andrew Steer says that their service sells itself. "People want this technology, and it removes a cost and nuisance that has faced the industry for many years. We expect that it will quickly transform the way boat brokers/dealers and manufacturers do their advertising in Australia. We are already well down the track to release the US version later this year, soon followed by versions for Canada, the United Kingdom, European and Asian markets. With ToolTwist we can move into these new markets quickly, and with over 50,000 brokers world wide, the sky is the limit".
