SmartSearch Adds ‘org-chart’ Features to Support CRM/Sales and Account Management for Recruiting Firms
Leading recruiting software enhances sales and business development tools

(APS) announced the addition of a graphical organization chart mapping feature to SmartSearch, an industry leading talent acquisition management and recruiting business solution. The enhanced org-chart function generates a convenient, graphical illustration that increases system capabilities for its staffing agency, executive search, and consulting agency users to analyze sales activity. In addition, users can now “hover” over a selected contact record for quick viewing or click-through to a list of managers the contact reports to as well as a list of subordinates.
“This value-added functionality allows users to quickly and easily zero-in on where a contact is in the decision-making hierarchy,” said Doug Coull, CEO of APS. “The org-chart graph and click-thru list features were developed by popular demand. The new tools allow users to view a business's organizational structure and sales penetration with an organization chart that maps out a company's structure based upon the "reports to" field on the corresponding contact records. Using the “reports to” information from each contact record, a graphical display of the company structure is generated with one click on the new "Org Chart" button on the business profile. Only contacts that have someone reporting to them, or are listed as reporting to someone else, are shown on the Org Chart graph. The org chart is generated as an image that can be cut/pasted into Word Documents, Spreadsheets, or just printed as desired.
The new Org Chart features complement a full suite of Sales/CRM functions including the ability to cross-reference “parent-child” relationships between a company and its divisions or subsidiaries, key contacts, leads, target accounts, work-in-progress, and sales activity reports. As with most features in SmartSearch, the new org-chart map and list tools may be enabled or disabled by administrative users.
