Elizabeth Loftus, of Loftus Counseling, LLC announces the opening of her psychotherapy practice in Rockville, MD. With the economy affecting many people's life styles and stress levels, clinicians are seeing an increase demand for therapeutic services. Fellow clinicians in private practice report that they cannot keep up with the referrals coming in from insurance companies.

Elizabeth Loftus is opening a general practice consisting of individual, group and family therapy with children, adolescents and adults. She is a graduate of Catholic University of America where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and of Johns Hopkins University where she earned her Masters and Post-Masters degrees.

Elizabeth's credentials include the following: Licensed Certified Professional Counselor (LCPC), Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She has experience working with many different diagnoses and issues and has a strong background in trauma-related issues.

Born and raised in the Metropolitan area, Elizabeth has many roots in the community and is familiar with local schools systems, professionals and resources. She believes in providing a safe environment in which issues can be effectively identified and explored.
