Lexington Center for Recovery (LCR), one of the leading providers of alcohol and substance abuse treatment in the Hudson Valley, recently established an evening treatment program for adults aged 19 and older at its Rockland County Airmont Clinic, 100 Route 59.

Treatment services offered through the Intensive Evening Program include comprehensive assessments; psychiatric evaluation and monitoring; group, individual and family counseling; and educational group services. The program follows the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) evidence-based curriculum for the treatment of anger management, and all clients will be introduced to Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). DBT is traditionally used to treat individuals with personality disorders, but also has a positive application for substance abusing individuals when modified accordingly.

"Within the next several months, we plan to implement specialized services for co-occurring disorders to our clients in the Intensive Evening Program," said Barbara Tabala, CASAC, Director of the Rockland County Programs for LCR.

The Program will be staffed by a men's facilitator, a women's facilitator and a DBT facilitator, and services will be provided on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

"When we established our agency more than 27 years ago, it was our goal to treat individuals during the day or evening, during the week or on the weekend," said Dr. Adrienne Marcus, Executive Director of Lexington Center for Recovery. "Individuals in our Westchester County clinics have found success in the evening intensive program, and we look forward to its success in treating individuals in Rockland County."

LCR's administrative headquarters is located at 116 Radio Circle, Mt. Kisco, NY. Rockland County treatment facilities are located in Airmont and Haverstraw. Westchester County clinics and programs are located in Mount Kisco, NY; New Rochelle, NY; Elmsford, NY; Yonkers, NY; White Plains, NY; and Peekskill, NY. The agency's Dutchess County clinics are located in Poughkeepsie, Beacon, Dover Plains, Millbrook and Rhinebeck, NY.
