SaaShr.com (http://www.SaaShr.com), a subsidiary of WebApps, Inc., and leading provider of Software as a Service (SaaS) with a major push in Workforce Management Solutions, has partnered with Sequent, a consulting and outsourcing firm based in Ohio. The previous partnership Sequent had in place was with a vendor that charged fees upfront to implement its time and labor management solution, which many small businesses could not afford.

"Our previous vendor charged upfront costs from $650 to $1,000. Small businesses couldn't justify spending that much on a basic time keeping solution," said Ross Benton, Director of IT Customer Service for Sequent. "SaaShr.com enables us to market this type of product to those smaller clients by excluding these costs."

According to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), small businesses represent 99.7 percent of all employers and pay nearly 45 percent of total U.S. private payroll. "With a market that large, we were looking for a solution that was flexible in its capabilities to import and export data, had several data collection methods available, and could be scalable to meet the needs of larger clients as well," added Benton. "With this demographic there was one determining factor that was equally as important: price."

As a partner for only a short time, Sequent has recently given a demonstration of the product to two clients. "They were both really impressed with the dot board report, the ability to group and save custom reports, and the general automation of time keeping the Small Business Edition (SBE) encompassed," said Benton. "The time and labor management solution is in line with our clients' needs and gives them more added value than the previous solution we offered." Sequent received the contract from one of the clients almost immediately after the demonstration.

After completing its initial review of client needs, Sequent found that many of the organizations are using manual reports and tedious procedures to capture time. "The simplicity at which these clients' employees can punch in and out, and the way the system compiles this information makes pulling the payroll data together much easier. Now they won't have to collect timesheets and the overall process for preparing payroll will take a lot less time," stated Benton. "The major benefit is that we can provide these organizations with a solution they can actually afford."
