"I think my biggest pet peeve with online shopping is that there are no sales attendants or clerks to ask if I have a question," said Garrett. "Because I'm just looking at product images, I can't tell its weight, what materials it's made from or whether it will shrink in the wash."
Because shopping on the internet can seem so impersonal at times, Garrett has gone to great lengths to ensure his product descriptions are complete and accurate, and also to provide additional support through his new blog at http://www.KGDiscountMallBlog.com.
"I'm intending for the blog to be kind of an open support forum where people can post questions about products, read reviews or even ask for a recommendation," said Garret. "Basically the blog will function like an online version of a sales attendant, but with a lot more features."
In addition to serving as a medium for customer support, Garrett will be utilizing the blog to discuss his products more in-depth.
"People can read about product details in the description, but I want the blog to be more about how to use the products and their unique qualities," said Garrett. "I'll discuss topics like interior decorating with safari décor, choosing the right accent pillows and how to hook up an LCD TV."
While Garrett believes the blog will be a welcome addition to his website, he's confident that his discount prices are the reason customers will return.
"I think the blog is just the icing on the cake, the real reason people will come to the website is for the prices," said Garrett. "I have discount prices on thousands of products, and even special promotional codes for bigger discounts at checkout."
