San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 27, 2009
Forum One Networks, a division of Forum One Communications, specializing in strategy and research for online communities, and ReadWriteWeb, a top ranked blog that provides Web Technology news, reviews and analysis, announced a partnership to provide research on best practices in online community and social media management.
Forum One Networks has conducted research in the online community and social media industry for the past three years through the Online Community Research Network (OCRN), a community of social media and online community professionals who collaborate to better understand the principal challenges of building and managing online communities and social media programs. Research reports from the OCRN include: Online Community and Social Media Compensation, Online Community Metrics, Online Community ROI: Models and Reports, Social Media Ecosystems, and Marketing, Growth and Engagement. In addition to being an incredible source for technology information, ReadWriteWeb recently published a Guide to Online Community Management.
"This partnership comes at a very important time in the industry. Community and social media professionals are charged with the important tasks of engaging in customer relationships, utilizing new technologies and tools, and reporting metrics and ROI, with limited resources and industry standards. Our research provides these professionals with much needed resources to be more effective in their communities and social media programs, and we feel ReadWriteWeb offers an important complement and additional perspective to our efforts," says Bill Johnston, Chief Community Officer of Forum One Networks. "We are honored to partner with the experts at ReadWriteWeb and highly value the research they've created. We're looking forward to working together to deliver relevant research to the professionals in the industry."
The initial phase of the research partnership includes cross promotion of both companies research reports, co-promotion of the current Online Community and Social Media Compensation Survey 2009 and co-publication of some of the key results of the Compensation 2009 study. The partnership allows both companies to reach more people in the industry to build more comprehensive data sets in the research reports, which will provide community and social media professionals with a breadth of tools, best practices, benchmarks, compensation expectations, and industry standards.
