The Group introduced a new promotions reporting tool in November 2008, using its SAP business warehouse application. According to Chief Financial Officer, Gary Carroll, the tool demonstrates the company's proactive approach to meeting customer needs and initial figures look promising.
"Out-of-stock levels have been reduced to around half of previous levels, leading to fewer missed sales and a positive sales momentum for the Group in 2008-09. There are still some improvements to be made, but we've made very good progress to date," explains Gary.
Gary believes the tool, which tracks the performance of the company's catalogues and promotions for two of SUL's leading brands, Supercheap Auto and BCF, is designed to assist in ensuring 100% in-stock position of all promotional product lines during the course of the promotion.
