At the Southern California Investor Conference held last week in Newport Beach, industry veteran Scott A. Rieger announced the formation of a new investor and public relations agency, ACCESS IR/PR, to provide corporate communications and strategic consulting services to publicly traded and emerging private companies throughout the country.

Rieger is former vice president of corporate communications for Hollis-Eden Pharmaceuticals, where he developed and managed investor relations, media relations and corporate communications activities in support of the company's capital raising and strategic business objectives. Previously, he consulted public and private companies through his own firm, Strategic Investor Relations, Inc., for 10 years. Rieger started his investor relations career in New York City with Georgeson & Co., a global consulting and proxy solicitation firm, where he was Vice President.
Long active in the business community, Rieger has served as chairman of the San Diego and Dallas chapters of the National Investor Relations Institute, president of the San Diego Venture Group and the San Diego chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, and as a board member of BIOCOM and Big Brothers of San Diego. He holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington & Lee University.
