eBooks become iBooks with long-awaited TomeRaider launch for iPhone and iPod touch.

iPhone Publisher Clickgamer.com (http://www.clickgamer.com) has today announced the launch of TomeRaider - developed by mobile technology company Yadabyte Ltd (http://www.yadabyte.com) which brings eBooks to the iPhone and iPod touch, commonly termed iBooks.

Yadabyte's catalogue of over 4,000 eBooks is being made available to iPhone users through the development of its TomeRaider eBook reader. The application is a cross platform viewer that delivers large works of text such as the Bible, the entire IMDB and Wikipedia collection and literary classics such as The Adventures of Tom Sawyer to Apple devices.

Although there are traditional books available for TomeRaider there are almost an aside. What TomeRaider is about is large reference works like Encyclopedias, Dictionaries and Guidebooks. Here the speed and simplicity of browsing even immense works is where TomeRaider excels.

TomeRaider is all about fresh open reference, multiple language content being available wherever the consumer is, and is positioned to become the primary source of reference data for casual and education users.

"On almost any phone now you can use the internet to retrieve reference information, but all to often, for various reasons, it takes too long. The effort isn't worth knowing the information, especially when you are mid movie or chat with your friends. TomeRaider has always been about getting people to the information in fastest simplest way. The newly released TomeRaider renders said works to Apple's iPhone at a cost of USD $0.99 intro price, which enables customers to download as many of the available iBooks as they wish. There are thousands of TomeRaider files and Yadabyte, the makers of TomeRaider, are starting the process of upgradng them for the iPhone.
