Tyler Russell seeks the GOP nomination for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 8th Congressional District in Texas. Tyler will be challenging incumbent Republican Congressman Kevin Brady in the GOP Primary election of 2010.

Tyler Russell formally announces his candidacy in the 2010 election for the U.S. House of Representatives. He seeks the GOP nomination in Texas District 8 currently being represented by Kevin Brady (R).

Tyler is a conservative Republican who advocates limited government and fiscal responsibility… "I am running for Congress to help restore the conservative constitutional principles of government to reflect the values of 'We the People'. I plan to help lead the House of Representatives in its efforts to bring these principles to the forefront of policy debates and overall approach to government."

Tyler has set clear campaign goals that reflect the values of voters throughout Texas District 8. He states that "…for too many years now, Congress has ignored the voice of the American people and has disregarded the advice of our founding fathers. My unambiguous goals as the U.S. House Representative from Texas District 8 include balancing the federal budget by reducing spending, bolstering national security, supporting States' rights, and reducing the federal government's involvement in our lives."

Tyler Russell pledges to be true and faithful in representing the views and values of the people of his district: "I will strive to bring real solutions to Congress and let the voice of the citizens of my district be heard clear and loud in Washington, DC."

Tyler is a professional in the local oil industry and a Captain in the Air Force Reserves. He holds an MBA and is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy.
