As the RV industry bounces back from the worst market in more than 40 years, we stand ready to promote the industry, its campgrounds and its customers.

RV Daily Report, an online news and information resource serving the recreation vehicle industry, has moved its operation from Wisconsin to Arizona.
The move to the Southwest region brings the company closer to one of the fast-growing RV markets in America, said publisher Greg Gerber. Plus the climate makes a better base upon which to operate a publication dedicated to serving people who like to travel.
"We are working on a number of projects for next year that will simply make it easier for us to cover the entire RV industry from a base located in an area where bad weather is measured in hours, not inches," said Gerber.
RV Daily Report publishes a newsletter Monday through Friday containing summaries and links to all the stories, product releases and opinion blogs posted to its website at http://www.rvdailyreport.com. The publication covers every aspect of the RV industry including dealers, manufacturers, suppliers, campgrounds and even RV owners.
"RV owners are among our fastest-growing group of subscribers," said Gerber. "I think they like to keep abreast of what's happening to the companies that manufacture their RVs and supply them with the products they need to fully enjoy the RVing lifestyle.
RV Daily Report has seen a surge in newsletter subscriptions, Gerber said. Since January, subscriptions have jumped 52 percent. More than 7,300 people now subscribe to the daily newsletter. Not only have subscriptions increased, but the publication's open rates and click through rates continue to beat industry standards.
According to Constant Contact, which manages RV Daily Report's newsletter delivery, an average of 35.2 percent of the newsletters is opened each day with 33.9 percent of readers clicking through to the website. By comparison, the publishing industry averages are 18.1 percent and 4.5 percent, respectively.
"There's a good reason for the increase in subscribers and the high open rates of our newsletter," Gerber explained. "We are posting far more news at RV Daily Report than our competitors."
With a few days left in September, RV Daily Report has already posted more than 350 stories about the RV industry this month, compared to 153 posted by its next closest competitor. For the year, RV Daily Report has posted 3,129 stories -- 117 percent more than its closest competitor.
"Our philosophy is simple. We will publish all the news we can find, not just those stories some editor deems worthy enough of his readers' attention," said Gerber, a veteran of magazine publishing who launched his online venue earlier this year.
RV Daily Report segments the news so that people can skim through the entire newsletter and keep abreast of what's happening throughout the industry, or focus on news of interest to RV businesses, campgrounds or RV owners. The newsletter features wire service stories as well as original content. Links are also tweeted on Twitter.
"I am extremely happy with where we are today. It has been a difficult year for the RV industry and for our publication as well," said Gerber.
At the start of the year, Gerber was publishing the newsletter as RV Industry News until his media partner went out of business. Gerber then ventured out on his own and relaunched as RVeNEWS, until a competitor threatened legal action suggesting the name was too similar to theirs. Finally, in August, Gerber relaunched again as RV Daily Report, a name he says aptly summarizes what his publication is all about.
Since relaunching as RV Daily Report a little over a month ago, the website has seen 10,672 unique visitors coming to the site 39,013 times to view 87,174 pages. In the second quarter, before the name and domain changes, the website saw 23,007 visitors coming to the site 124,809 times to open 313,812 pages.
"We are very excited about the year ahead," said Gerber. "As the RV industry bounces back from the worst market in more than 40 years, we stand ready to promote the industry, its campgrounds and its customers."
