New York (PRWEB) September 2, 2009
On Tuesday, September 8, 2009, Green Drinks NYC will host its end-of-summer networking event from 6-10PM at Water Taxi Beach (South Street Seaport), located on the north side of Pier 17.
With spectacular views of the Brooklyn Bridge and East River, this water's edge venue offers the perfect spot for environmental enthusiasts to come together for some end-of-summer social networking. Salsa music, a complimentary organic cocktail, tasty Fish Shack beach grub, door prizes, dynamic speakers and fun on the dance floor will make this a night to remember.
A favorite spot for New Yorkers, Water Taxi Beach South Street Seaport offers 18,000 square feet of fun, food, sun, music, recreation and relaxation. Grab a cocktail under the tent with a friend, listen to some DJ beats, enjoy tasty Fish Shack beach grub, play a game of miniature golf or build a castle in the sand.
Like all Green Drinks NYC events, this night at the beach will provide a platform for professionals to collaborate on green initiatives, develop new ideas, find employment and discover avenues for sustainable living. The friendly setting welcomes individuals of all backgrounds to meet like-minded New Yorkers. A percentage of the proceeds will benefit Film Biz Recycling, an organization that has diverted almost 82 tons of film-business materials from landfills since May 2008.
This Green Drinks NYC event has been made possible by the generous sponsorship of NYC Green Car, Printing Responsibly and The Organic Spirits Company.
Tickets are open to the public: $15 in advance through http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/78696 and $20 at the door. Bring your electric bill, sign up for Wind Power and get $10 off.

About Film Biz Recycling
Film Biz Recycling is a niche-market hybrid not-for-profit established to help the entertainment industry in New York City address the triple bottom line. Since May of 2008, over 84 tons of building materials, set dressing, and wardrobe have been diverted from landfills into the hands of local arts organizations, schools, and other not-for-profit reuse centers. Additionally, Film Biz Recycling retains a small and unique hand-selected array of items for a boutique which sells and rents to prop stylists, set decorators, eco-interior designers and individuals with a desire to surround themselves with low-impact beauty. FBR recently published "The Practical Guide to a Greener Production" and is available for free upon request.
