Piscataway, NJ (PRWEB) September 2, 2009
ELO Media is proud to announce the next generation of Automated DVMatic DVD vending Kiosks. Starting in September, ELO Media will introduce the new line of DVMatic 550XL. This newest generation of DVmatic, provides advanced security, simplified maintenance and a NEW state-of-the-art software interface.
"With this latest generation of DVD vending machine, the DVmatic 550XL has raised the bar on capacity and money making opportunities for our customers. The next generation DVMatic software offers on-line reservations, the ability to rent from one kiosk and return to another within the same network, advanced web-based customer and owner websites, various membership options, coupon promotional codes, advertising options and Blue-Ray capabilities. The DVmatic holds up to 550 titles (rental or purchase) for either movies or games. With all of the new features of the DVMatic 550XL, this easy to maintain and operate kiosk, sets a new standard for the industry" reports Dan Kenyon, VP of Sales and Marketing of ELO Media.
According to Kenyon, rentals are strong as ever. In fact, due to the economic slowdown, families are searching for cheaper entertainment venues, and renting a movie at a $1 per day is a great bang for your buck and very affordable entertainment. New releases such as G Force are seeing increased rentals, rather than sales, compared to films of the same genre in the past.
The kiosk rental business has grown substantially in the past 12 months, with Coinstar/Redbox (NASDAQ: CSTR) leading the market with over 15,000 machines deployed. Blockbuster (NYSE: BBI) has expanded its earlier partnership with NCR and plan to install 10,000 kiosks within 18 months. It seems to be only a matter of time before we see this type of automated DVD rental kiosk at every corner.
Kenyon adds, "We feel that with the launch of our new software, and financing ever so difficult, it is the perfect time to introduce our new "SELLER FINANCING" initiative and expand our customer base. Entrepreneurs are some times anxious entering this business because of the significant cash outlay, however, if you could start this business for a few hundred dollars per month, with a minimal down payment, it becomes a much easier decision and is almost like leasing a car - suddenly it's a lot more economical"
When asked about Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) and Video-on-demand, Kenyon says "Netflix provides a great service, but their clients are different. Kiosks serve a more spontaneous audience who wish to watch a specific movie at a specific time. Most renters don't want to wait 3 days for their movies and hope to get the ones that are at the top of their list. Furthermore, our kiosks have a similar subscription service to Netflix and Blockbuster for those avid renters who rent frequently. Combined with grocery stores and convenience stores, you are no longer forcing the renters to make a special trip to the video stores. As for VOD, while it has grown substantially, there is still a long time before it replaces DVDs, as the studios enjoy the revenue streams on all levels. DVDs are here to stay for at least another 5-10 years"
And now ELO Media offers affordable leasing packages (starting as low as $230 per month) for businesses established 2 years or more.
