About Sinikka Crosland:
"Slaughter of Foals for Pregnant Mare Urine"
Sinikka Crosland, a registered nurse by trade, took early retirement in order to work for the welfare of animals. In 1994, after helping out during a local neglected horse crisis, and then reading articles about the Pregnant Mare Urine (PMU) industry with its resulting slaughter of foals, she was ready to fulfill the life-long dream of helping animals at risk. TRACS (The Responsible Animal Care Society) was thus born, and she became the organization's Co-founder and President. TRACS has since rescued and re-homed hundreds of displaced PMU horses and other equines at risk. To address the problem of horse slaughter in Canada, Sinikka co-founded the Canadian Horse Defense Coalition (CHDC) in 2004 and became Executive Director of the organization.

About Twyla Francois:
"Animal Holocaust"
Following a life-threatening illness and faced with her own mortality, Twyla Francois, quit her job in university administration and founded a small animal protection organization. Immediately, photos of suffering farm animals started coming in from concerned citizens. Observing one of the facilities every day for 2 years she found horrible abuse - pigs with broken hips, legs and spines left overnight with no medical attention, food or water. As Head of Investigation for Canadians for the Ethical Treatment of Food Animals (CETFA) and Central Region Director with the Canadian Horse Defense Coalition, Twyla spends approximately half her time in the field - providing water, warmth, kindness and medical attention to suffering farm animals in livestock auctions, collecting stations, during transport and at slaughter. Her photos, footage and information are used to create reports and videos to fight for improvements for farm animals and help educate Canadians on the reality of livestock agriculture today. She was featured on the CBC documentary "No Country for Horses" that was broadcast on June 10, 2008.

About Dr. Jonathan Hooton:
The host of Soul Talk Radio on VoiceAmerica's 7th Wave Channel is Dr. Jonathan Hooton. Initially trained as a Ph.D. biochemist, for the past 20 years Dr. Hooton has followed a path of healing, learning and growth. He has explored many healing modalities, hosted healing (talking) circles and been trained in energy work, Integrative Body Psychotherapy, Philosophical counseling and Systemic Family Constellations. He teaches body-centered counseling and Touch for Health, facilitates monthly workshops in Family Constellations and has a private practice working with individuals, couples and groups.

The suicide of his brother in 1987 awakened him to an awareness of the wholeness of the universe and to the deeper energies that lie behind the manifest, physical world. The pain of that loss led to a desire to heal psychologically and spiritually, to resolve systemic patterns or 'entanglements' that have been inherited through his family of origin, and to support the healing and empowerment of others. He brings a wealth of experience when speaking with guests about the processes involved in becoming more soul conscious. Dr. Hooton's website is
