New Online Community for Home Enthusiasts Graduates from Beta and is Ready for Growth

After six months of testing and tweaking, is ready to graduate from beta mode with over 130 members. Home enthusiasts are invited to join in discussions a room-by-room format and interact with business members in the interior design and home improvement industries.

The second month was launched it was named a finalist for the e-Strategy Award at the Hartford Biz Journal e-Summit conference. Now, just six months later, the site has officially graduated from beta mode and is well-positioned for growth. is an online community for home enthusiasts conveniently organized by type of room to help members quickly find topics and resources relevant to their specific project. It's a fun and comfortable place for homeowners and business to share their passion for homes while making friends along the way.

The forum was inspired by a small business owner's love of blogging and interior design. Susan Jensen Smith has been an entrepreneur for the past two years, running a home staging and interior redesign business, Rooms That Work LLC.

Previously a corporate marketer, Smith has a strong background in online and offline marketing. As Smith utilized the internet for her own design business, she saw a need and opportunity for homeowners and businesses to get together in an online community and talk about homes and design in a focused room-by-room format.

Homeowners benefit by easily finding information specific to the room they are interested in and having access to expert advice from business members. And, unlike with blogs, members can start any topic they'd like to discuss rather than being limited to only commenting on published blog posts.

Susan has worked in the marketing and Web 2.0 world for over 15 years. She has a B.S. in Marketing from The Ohio State University and an M.B.A. from Capital University.
