Microsoft and Razorfish today announced that Microsoft has named Razorfish as one of its agencies of record. As such, Razorfish is recognized as a Microsoft strategic partner for digital marketing services.

Steve Petitpas, general manager and head of global advertising for Microsoft, said, "Razorfish has earned its place as a Microsoft agency of record through outstanding work dating back several years. Razorfish has a well-deserved reputation for delivering smart, engaging digital work for Microsoft."

Razorfish will continue to provide digital services including strategy, Social Influence Marketing, rich media engagement, website development and technology support.

Jonathan Rosoff, Razorfish senior vice president and managing director for Microsoft client work, said, "Razorfish looks forward to helping Microsoft build its business and brands in our expanded relationship by creating great customer experiences across the digital spectrum."

Razorfish has been a key partner on many strategic marketing initiatives for Microsoft as part of a longstanding client relationship. Recently Razorfish led integrated digital marketing efforts in support of the launch of the Microsoft Bing search engine. Among other assignments, Razorfish also developed the Microsoft Windows Live Clubhouse, Microsoft's first user generated content platform capable of servicing any Microsoft web property.

Microsoft accorded the AOR status to Razorfish in July, and the relationship is separate from the agreed upon sale of Razorfish from Microsoft to Publicis Groupe announced on August 9, 2009.
