Nothing was ever given to me. Success came by working for it. Now my wife Billie and I want to share our blessings and opportunities. It's time to give back.

Jim Ellis Automotive Dealerships sponsored their Ninth Annual charity golf tournament on August 23, 2009 at Chateau Elan Winery and Resort.
"Nothing was ever given to me. Success came by working for it. Now my wife Billie and I want to share our blessings and opportunities. It's time to give back." - Jim Ellis
The 245 golfers who participated helped raise over $85,000 for Atlanta area charities.
The recipient list has not yet been finalized at this time, as the donations are made in November for the Holiday Season. The Jim Ellis charity's mission statement reads "We will directly serve children in need in Metro Atlanta, enhancing the dignity, health, and well being for our future generation in our community."
Last Year's recipient list included 501c3 non-profit organizations in the Atlanta metro area serving the needs of children. Recipients included: Norcross Co-Op Ministries Greg Ellis Center, Calvary Children's Home, Our House, Babies Can't Wait, Jesse's House, Frank Ski Kids, Parkwood Farms, Kare for Kids, Children's Restoration Network, Boys and Girls Club of America, Georgia Center for Children's Advocacy, and the Aflac Cancer Center.
The charities are nominated by the 650+ employees of the Jim Ellis Automotive Dealerships, and voted on by the leadership team each fall. Employees are also active in the event itself, either by volunteering their time to help set up, organize and run the event, or by participating in the tournament.
Charity funds are raised via corporate sponsorships, team and single players, donations, silent auction funds, and other items that were sold during the tournament itself.
2009 Platinum sponsors were Manheim Auctions, Audi of America, and JM&A.
Gold-level sponsors were Bank of America, ACS of GA, Porsche Cars North America, Clear Channel, Johnson Industries, Mazda Corporate, and Cox Radio.
The tournament's Silver sponsors were Carfax, MAADA, Specialty Roofing & Coatings, Cars.com, American Radio, Dealix, Kelly Blue Book, J.E.
