Chicago-based internet design, development, and marketing firm tests uncharted waters with new website development approach

Cary Pearlman, CEO of eClick Performance, a premiere internet marketing and website design firm in Chicago, announced today their newest experiment, eClick 2010: Creative Test, an innovative venture in how web design drives site development. The hands-on CEO is relinquishing complete control over the firm's website to one of its web designers, granting him all creative liberty.

This no-holds-barred approach to the website is a revolutionary idea set to prove that dynamic design and content can have incredible impact on a website's traffic, conversion, and staying power in the visually driven world of the Internet. eClick 2010 will sidestep the "business as usual" process of website-by-committee that tends to produce lackluster and under-performing sites.

The new project is a risky move for eClick as a company that mainly offers traditional website services, but Pearlman, confident that his staff will produce favorable results, gave the new approach the green light. "I was excited by the passion and enthusiasm the 2010 team is bringing to the table. This is a mold-breaking project, and the potential gains to our company and to the web development community at large are worth any risks we might take by doing something so different," said Pearlman.

eClick 2010 developed in part due to a needed "creative renaissance" on the Internet, and was inspired by separate articles written by Randall Rothenberg, CEO of Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), and Hernan Lopez of Ad Age. According to Rothenberg, the web has been "an unthinking hostage to a direct-marketing culture and tradition that devalues creativity and its long-term effect on brands."

eClick Performance will unveil the new website in January 2010 but invites the community to follow the creative process as a web designer takes the reins and tries to prove to his CEO and the web development community that design does matter.
