Second City Communications' Blended Learning Program For Farmers Insurance Wins Two Prominent Corporate Learning Awards

Second City's Customer Connection Corps For Farmers Honored As An Innovative Solution For Increasing Customer Satisfaction and Internal Alignment

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 2, 2009 -- The unique blended learning program created by Second City Communications for Farmers Insurance - the Customer Connection Corps - has won two national awards from corporate learning organizations as an innovative and high-impact learning strategy.

The Customer Connection Corps won a Best Practice award at the 9th Annual Corporate University XChange Awards for Excellence and Innovation in Corporate Learning.

In all, Farmers received a total of four awards from the Corporate University XChange (CUX), the leading provider of education research, benchmarking, and advisory services to corporate America. The CUX awards salute corporate and government learning organizations that create exciting, high-impact programs that result in measurable improvements in employee and business performance.

In back-to-back honors for the Customer Connection Corps, Farmers has also won the 2009 Innovation Award from The Society of Insurance Trainers and Educators (SITE) -- a 50-year old professional membership organization focused on training and education in the insurance industry. SITE's Innovation Award recognizes new and innovative training programs and the commitment to continued improvement through innovation.

The Customer Connection strategy is a high-impact fun, and funny learning program designed to shift the company's 10,000 U.S. claims reps to a stronger focus on customer-centered service. Customer Connections has become an important cultural rallying cry at Farmers and the program is credited with increasing key customer satisfaction measurements.

"We're excited about our partnership with Second City Communications -- the Customer Connection Corps strategy is yielding powerful results for Farmers," said Mike Cuffe, Vice President of Claims Training & Development for Farmers Insurance. "Customer Connections is innovative and these awards are recognition of that," added Cuffe.
