With the many advances in technology and its generated social media outlets, crafter's now have the capability to form a close niche community. This allows them to offer advice, share projects and methods with their fellow crafters.

Factory Direct Craft Supply Reaches Out to the Community

We hope to see our community grow along with our company

Factory Direct Craft Supply offers affordable craft supplies for the everyday crafter. They started out primarily as a catalog only business, however, throughout the years it has evolved into a prosperous internet business. Being a small family owned business they stick with traditions, never leaving behind the value of the community. As such, they are always seeking new channels of communication to reach out to their customers and encourage a sort of kinship amongst crafters.

"We've noticed there is a lack of communication venues in the crafting world, and we're attempting to tackle that," says Jarrod Christman, web developer at Factory Direct Craft Supply.

Factory Direct Craft Supply is setting a new initiative, to solve the lack of communication outlets, by presenting a blog and forum specifically for the crafting community. On September 4th, 2009 Factory Direct Craft Supply is launching a craft forum, with sections dedicated to every topic of crafting. Even more, launching a brand new blog specifically for crafters. The craft blog is dedicated to the world of crafting, covering topics ranging from how-to videos to step by step instructional articles to wedding and bridal information.

To help support the communities growth Factory Direct Craft Supply is holding a contest. To take part in this contest all one has to do is register on the forum and they will be automatically entered. The winner, chosen at random on Sept. 30th, 2009, will receive a $1,000 shopping spree toward Factory Direct Craft Supply's online store.

"We hope to see our community grow along with our company," says Jessica Christman, PR representative at Factory Direct Craft Supply.
