Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 9, 2009 -- Recent college grad opens 5 Dollar Warehouse to help people save money and the environment.

5 Dollar Warehouse LLC is headed by recent college graduate Jessica Ann Mitchell. When she started this company, her goal was to provide an environmentally and economically conscious shopping haven for deal seeking online customers. So began, 5Dollarwarehouse.com. Mitchell asserts, "5Dollarwarehouse.com is an online retail store guided by Social Entrepreneurship. We are a green minded store that encourages customers to save money and the environment by purchasing both new and gently used name brand clothing." 5Dollarwarehouse carries apparel from Old Navy, BCBG, Liz Claiborne, The Limited, Express, New York & Company, and Tommy Hilfiger.

One of the best features of the retail store is the price. Almost everything in the store is only $5.00. Sometimes, the prices are even lower with jewelry starting at $1.99. Still, Mitchell maintains her focus on social entrepreneurship. Thus, she created The Ultimate 5 Dollar Initiative Video Contest. The theme of this contest is simple. If you only had $5 to help another person or cause what would you use it for, how would you use it, and why?

Contestants are asked to make a short video, no longer than 2 minutes total. Contestants can use music (no copyright infringement), poem, dance, rap, anything. The best entry receives $100 and the top 15 participants receive a $5 bill and 5Dollarwarehouse.com gift certificates. Mitchell hopes that the contest will bring more attention to world wide economic issues while also encouraging others to use their voice to incite change.

The bargains at 5Dollarwarehouse.com have just begun and Mitchell plans to include additional items to the online store such as hats and tote bags. Still, keeping low prices and saving the environment will continue to be the focus of 5 Dollar Warehouse LLC. Hopefully, this mentality will catch on.
