In total, since the implementation of the campaign our revenues have increased by more then 500 percent - We've seen great return on investment and are happy with the decision we made to take our efforts online.
Tempe, Arizona (PRWEB) September 8, 2009
Hat Club, a leading retailer of baseball caps, skater hats and accessories, is working closely with Tempe-based online marketing agency, Terralever to increase their online revenue and generate loyalty within their brand. Hat Club had already launched an e-commerce site when they originally came to Terralever in 2007 however, they decided it was time to get more serious about selling merchandise online. Hat Club looked to Terralever to show them how to do it strategically, effectively, and with great success.
The goal was to create an online experience that would not only raise but reset the bar for sports retail e-commerce. High importance was set on creating a strong presence on search engines and stimulating Hat Club Membership to create loyalty, repeat web site visits and revenue. The strategic plan consisted of a premiere membership-based, e-commerce website, coupled with a balanced campaign of SEO, PPC, email marketing and social media marketing.
With the plan in action, Hat Club's online sales are now up an impressive 245 percent since Q2 2008. Hatclub.com, formerly listed as the most poorly performing retail outpost across Hat Club, is currently the top selling, surpassing its counterpart brick and mortar store locations. The combined approach of sustained online marketing and the launch of a new persona-based, search engine optimized website, has produced a steady increase in Hat Club's online performance metrics.
Comparing web visitors ending Q2 2009 with the same period 2008, Hat Club boasts a 175 percent increase in traffic, while maintaining an industry enviable balance of returning and new clientele. Additionally, Hat Club increased pageviews and time spent on site by 280 percent, while reducing the site's total bounce rate by 15 percent across the same period. Within the first quarter of proactive online marketing, revenue increased 245 percent year over year, and continues to trend upward in a down economy.
In addition, five months ago, Terralever and HatClub.com launched an intense Search Engine Optimization campaign. In just five short months, through strategic SEO initiatives, Hat Club's natural search engine traffic has increased by more then 125 percent.
Hatclub.com is dominating hat related search and can be found organically on the first page of Google for eight super-important key terms, including, "baseball hats," "New era hats," "59fifty hats," and the most difficult to obtain and most widely searched term, "hats." Obtaining the term "hats" for HatClub.com is a big win. The term itself brings in over 5,000 people and more than $3,000 in revenue each month.
"Awareness and affinity for Hat Club has grown steadily since the execution of Terralever's online marketing plan," said Paul Stachel, Hat Club CEO. "In total, since the implementation of the campaign our revenues have increased by more then 500 percent - We've seen great return on investment and are happy with the decision we made to take our efforts online."
