Recently, CCIDC changed the requirements for becoming a Certified Interior Designer (CID) in California. Beginning in 2009, passing the IDEX California exam fulfills the examination requirement. Candidates must still meet experience requirements, though they are no longer required to pass any of the three national exams to become a CID. The IDEX California exam is offered during the months of May and October each year.
