Singapore (PRWEB) September 8, 2009
V-KOOL® International is pleased to announce the formation of a new IQue® Sustainable Energy Division to harness the full potential of the company's advanced thin film technologies and global franchise network to treat architectural glass for better energy efficient glazing and cost management.
"Typically 30 - 50% of electrical energy used by a building goes to air-conditioning. This proportion of energy usage rises as glass area increases in modern architecture building designs. Hence, architects, commercial buildings' operators and others are concerned with making glass more energy efficient to reduce cooling load while maintaining the architectural aesthetics of using glass," said Mr. Wilson Lim, General Manager of V-KOOL® International Pte Ltd
With this in mind, the V-KOOL® International Headquarters (HQ) based out of Singapore, has appointed Mr. Peter Wong, as Head, IQue® Sustainable Energy Division. "I am very proud to lead this newly created division as I believe that in the current global sustainable energy market, customers will benefit directly if they can have the best products and technologies served to them from a single source," said Mr. Wong.
The new IQue® Sustainable Energy Division will focus on dealing with global HQ entities with offices around the world to bring about an effective glass efficiency and energy management solution. It will provide a holistic approach ranging from glass fenestration review, energy measurements to energy audit for commercial property owners like hotel chains and shopping malls, building management companies, developers and others to achieve greater returns on investment as well as facilitating the process of acquiring green mark status for their buildings. This division will be supported by the V-KOOL® offices in Singapore, Dubai (UAE), Taipei (Taiwan), Tokyo (Japan), Beijing (China), Shanghai (China), Shenzhen (China), Houston (USA) and its global architectural franchise network to cater to the energy efficient needs of global corporations.
IQue®, engineered by V-KOOL® denotes the ideal solution for architects, interior designers, building project managers, and business and homeowners who believe in daylight harvesting, make buildings and homes not only visually appealing, but also environmentally friendly and energy-efficient.
The anchor product of IQue® advanced thin film technologies, the IQue® 53 Generation II (IQue® 53GII), one of V-KOOL®'s innovative line of thin film coatings for glass windows, is the first clear and spectrally selective product to achieve an infra-red rejection of 96% with a 10-layer advanced metal stack. It also gives an absolute balance of lighting and heat control for effective luminous efficacy.
