Providing ongoing support to VisualAudio customers is a natural fit for DSP Concepts
Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) September 8, 2009
DSP Concepts, a leading provider of embedded audio development tools and services, announced that it will be offering legacy support for Analog Devices' VisualAudio development environment. Support is targeted at customers who are in the middle of developing SHARC® or Blackfin®-based audio products and are unable to switch tool chains mid stream. New designs are being steered towards DSP Concepts' Audio Weaver development environment.
"Providing ongoing support to VisualAudio customers is a natural fit for DSP Concepts," says CEO/CTO Paul Beckmann. "For the past 2.5 years, DSP Concepts has been responsible for all VisualAudio support and ongoing development through our relationship with Analog Devices. Several of our engineers were members of the original VisualAudio development team and have a thorough understanding of the tool. We are committed to our customers and appreciate the risks and costs associated with switching tools in the middle of development. Our support option allows customers to complete their designs with VisualAudio while new designs are being directed to our Audio Weaver development environment."
Audio Weaver is DSP Concepts full-featured development environment aimed at the specific needs of audio product and technology developers. Audio Weaver generates efficient code and is used throughout the full lifecycle of a product; from R&D, through design, development, testing, and production. Audio Weaver supports both SHARC and Blackfin processor families including the recently announced SHARC ADSP-21469. DSP Concepts provides reference designs based on Audio Weaver for speaker processing, automotive amplifiers, and professional products. Basic features are available through the Audio Weaver Designer graphical interface; advanced features are enabled using MATLAB® scripts.
