Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 10, 2009
Atlanta Boxer Rescue, Inc., a non-profit organization specializing in the rescue, adoption and animal welfare of Boxer dogs, will hold its second annual Boxerstock music festival on Saturday, Sept. 19, from noon until 10 PM, at Dogma Dogcare, located at 4790 Wright Drive in Smyrna. Tickets for the all-day music festival are $10, and all proceeds go toward Atlanta Boxer Rescue efforts and pet owner education.
Boxerstock is a dog-friendly event. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome.
Boxerstock will unite 12 of Atlanta's finest musicians, performing a wide variety of music, including Heidi Pollyea and Atlanta Kitchen Party, as well as local favorite, Thomas Tillman. Additionally, graduates from Jeff Justice's Comedy Workshop will perform for the crowd. Local restaurants will be on hand to provide delicious food and drinks. Activities for kids, a silent auction, and dog "events" will round out the day. Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about adopting, fostering or volunteering.
Dogma Dogcare will also offer free doggie daycare and tours of its facility throughout the day, though dogs are welcome to stay with their owners during the festival. Additionally, Atlanta Boxer Rescue volunteers will be providing microchip services for $25 per pet.*
