Warehouse cooler conversions underway in Chippewa Falls, WI and Little Chute, WI.

WOW Logistics has announced they are expanding their refrigerated warehousing services to Chippewa Falls, WI. The current WOW distribution center, a 648,000 square foot facility, is in the process of having 82,200 square feet converted from ambient/dry temperature to a multi-temperature fully racked cooler space that will contain over 11,000 pallet positions. WOW's sixth and newest cooler location will offer temperature flexibility ranging from 38 to 50 degrees.

Matt Oswald, Executive Vice President for WOW Logistics states "Our decision to add refrigerated services at our Chippewa Falls DC was in direct response to our customers request to support their growth initiatives. Providing premium storage and handling services in Western Wisconsin will allow them to reduce their logistics cost associated with transportation from suppliers and processors."

In addition, WOW is completing a temperature conversion and racking installation within a 37,000 square foot cooler area in their Little Chute, WI distribution center. The cooler will have the flexibility to reach 38 degrees and the capacity for 4,000 new pallet positions.

The new refrigerated sections and racking in both Chippewa Falls and Little Chute are expected to be completed by November 1, 2009.
