In partnership with the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation, the awards are made to Rhode Island companies whose products or services are judged to represent game-changing innovation for either the company or the market in which it operates.
A2B Tracking is the leading provider of total solutions for IUID (item unique identification) as mandated by Department of Defense MIL STD 130. IUID requires all assets owned by DoD, including assets in the possession of contractors, to be marked with a unique serialized identification number. The goal is lifecycle management and visibility of all assets within the IUID Registry. Benefits of IUID include enhanced logistics, maintenance and readiness of assets that are used in national defense.
Last year A2B was awarded a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) IDIQ contract for up to $70 million in support of the US Air Force IUID program. In addition A2B won a $2.5 million contract from the US Marine Corps in support of IUID and was also named a sub-contractor in the Army's AIT IV IDIQ award worth more than $400 million.
