Data Storage Startup Cited for Creating 'Best New Technology'

Pranah Storage Technologies (http://www.pranah.com) has been showcased in the September 2009 issue of Twin Cities Business magazine in an annual feature that highlights the best of the area's businesses. The feature is the cover story for this issue, which is now available on newsstands. The link to the Best of Business feature is here: http://www.TCBmag.com.

The magazine calls out Pranah as having the "Best New Locally Produced Technology" and goes on to describe the company's data storage system. Created right here in Minnesota, Pranah says its product is "the easiest-to-use and most complete network storage system for the under-$50K price class." According to a recent report by research firm IDC, that is the fastest-growing part of the data storage business.

Pranah's system features purpose-built hardware, designed specifically for data storage, combined with storage software applications that are typically seen only in high-end systems. Designed for simplicity and scalability, Pranah storage systems provide more value than any other system now available to small and midsized businesses (SMBs).

"To get cited by such a well regarded publication as TCB is really something special," said Dave Walstad, Pranah's VP of sales and marketing. "Minnesota's tradition as a center for data storage innovation is well known, and we hope to carry that on as we build for the future."

This recognition of Pranah's innovative technology comes just after the company was recently chosen as one of only eight "Sprout Award" winners nationally, in a startup competition sponsored by the respected IT media resource Everything Channel, a unit of United Business Media.
