Developer of artificial intelligence game tools and character animation company aim to simplify video game character creation

We're really excited to be working with Mixamo

xaitment, one of the leading developers and service providers of artificial intelligence (AI) for the games and simulation industries, today announced that it has entered into a partnership with character animation company, Mixamo, to co-develop simpler and faster techniques for applying realistic AI and animations to game characters.

xaitment engineers advanced AI game tools for game development studios of all sizes. Using xaitment's five modules, game designers and programmers can easily apply movement, navigation, behavior and decision-making to their game characters with a graphical user interface instead of complex code. The two companies will ensure that xaitment's xaitControl can seamlessly drive Mixamo's high-quality character animations within any game development platform.

Mixamo helps developers quickly create production-quality character animations. Game developers need only select from a collection of high-quality character motions on the Mixamo web site, customize those motions online in real-time (using their own character rigs), and download the final animations straight into their art pipeline. Mixamo thus boosts game artists' productivity so that they can focus on the creative aspect of character motion.

"We're really excited to be working with Mixamo," said Markus Schneider, executive vice president Americas and Asia of xaitment. "Our focus has always been on simplifying the application of advanced artificial intelligence for game characters. By offering developers an extremely fast method of creating a vast range of realistic character movements, Mixamo complements our strategy perfectly. I look forward to blending our offerings and revolutionizing the way designers and artists create animations for their games."

"Our joint partnership presents a very compelling opportunity for game developers to use xaitControl to drive Mixamo's high-quality character animations. Our vision at Mixamo is to simplify 3D character animation for game developers. The relationship with xaitment brings us closer to achieving this goal," said Nazim Kareemi, CEO and co-founder of Mixamo, Inc.

xaitment's game tools are available as stand-alone modules and in combination with all of xaitment's game tools. They integrate seamlessly with many world-class game technologies, and can be integrated into any existing development environment within 24 hours. Custom-tailored license-based models, integration and training services are available.

Mixamo's animations are available directly from the Company's web site. Service options also exist for animation blending and customer animation design.
