"If you were a product, how would you market yourself?" is how Marva Goldsmith kicks off her career coaching engagements with baby boomers making career transitions. In her new book Branding Yourself After Age 50, Marva applies commercial branding techniques to individuals and entrepreneurs who are competing for new jobs, growing their businesses and hoping to gain higher visibility. On September 15, Marva kicks off an interactive webinar series based on the Branding After Age 50 book to help participants develop their own unique selling propositions and personal branding strategies.

"I started the book as self-imposed therapy on the eve of my 50th birthday. It took a different direction as I found many of my peers and colleagues facing unexpected and unplanned 'career outages'," says Marva. "The webinars are a natural outgrowth of the book and give people a chance to roll up their sleeves with me and come out with a practical, high-impact plan for moving forward."

Branding Yourself After Age 50 addresses questions such as:

How can you reinvent yourself when you have never thought of yourself as a competitive entity?
How can you effectively brand yourself and compete in a highly competitive career (job or business) marketplace?

The webinar series walks people through steps similar to those taken by corporations to build their commercial brands. It gives participants a chance to interact with Marva directly for hands on personally relevant advice and feedback.

Branding Yourself After Age 50 should be mandatory for anyone facing career transition. Recent retiree and author Walter O'Bryant says, "Marva's book offered me insights that simply had not occurred to me before. She gave me perspectives that motivated me to think in terms of my future successes. I am not sitting in a corner and giving up just because I'm getting offers to join AARP!"

The three one-hour Branding After Age 50 webinar series kicks off on September 15 with "What You Can Learn from a Bottle of Ketchup About Self-Promotion". For more information and to register, visit Branding50.com.

Marva speaks with authority about career reinvention. At age 42, she left a fast-track executive career in the utility industry to become a certified image professional, brand coach and professional speaker. She has grown her own successful company and has published several books since striking out on her own. She is a gifted speaker and inspired teacher, working to help others reach their personal and professional potentials.
