The latest version builds on the solution's proven capabilities with customer-requested enhancements and a new quality module. As its name implies, the quality module ensures product condition and caliber. Through user-defined codes, it identifies an item's defect and cause, and suggests the corrective action to take. The new module offers a quality workbench, which guides inspectors through the inspection process. Quality also enables an inspector to pass or fail an item and gather statistics. Within v5.2, quality processes may be initiated from purchase order (PO) receipts, shop floor operations and return material authorization (RMA) receipts.

In addition to the new quality module, Relevant ERP v5.2 offers numerous enhanced capabilities, including the following:

  • Service and repair--Now uniquely integrated with work breakdown structure (WBS), contract billing and sales order RMAs.
  • WBS budgeting capabilities--Including budget archive and retrieval capabilities, integrated rollup processing, and budget simulation processing and comparison.
  • Material requirements planning (MRP)--Added a unique, optional multi-level pegging feature, which drives a pegging record from demand to supply down to the bill of material (BOM) structure.

"Relevant's superior product performance and outstanding customer service have made it the ERP software of choice for many premier firms in the industry," said Frank O'Nell, vice president of product management for Consona. "With a brand-new quality module and additional enhancements requested by our customers, Relevant v5.2 continues to offer the ability to increase inventory turns and improve operational efficiencies, bringing immediate, direct and measurable improvements to the bottom line."
