Houston, TX (PRWEB) September 14, 2009
Nos Caves Vin (NCV), Houston's premier off-site wine storage facility near Rice Village, has joined forces with neighboring Gremillion & Co. Fine Art, Inc. to exhibit a selection of today's finest contemporary art throughout Nos Caves Vin's public areas and private lounge.
The first of these events, on August 27th, included works by Thomas Zitzwitz, a German painter known for his use of pigments applied through acrylic gel, producing an ever-changing surface. The two-hour Art & Wine Tastings take place every six weeks and are by invitation-only to Nos Caves Vin members and select Gremillion & Co. guests. These special events are in addition to Nos Caves Vin's weekly wine tastings and classes for its members.
Gremillion & Co. is celebrated for its commitment to and deep relationships with some of the finest painters, sculptors and art furniture designers across the country and abroad, and is recognized nationally as one of the most mature and vibrant collections of contemporary art available. Like Nos Caves Vin, they take a modern approach to a time-honored tradition, finding new opportunities and innovative ways to expose contemporary artists and their work to discriminating collectors.
"There's nothing typical about our Art & Wine Tasting events--the wine is as superb as the art!" enthused Brent Sloan, NCV's Wine Director. "I personally select each of the wines for the tasting and am on hand to answer questions, and one of Gremillion & Co's esteemed Art Consultants, Elise Arnoult, gives a short presentation about the art and the artists as well."
Nos Caves Vin is dedicated to storing member wine collections securely in optimal, climate-controlled conditions. More than just a state-of-the-art wine storage facility, NCV also provides members access to exclusive wine-centric services, and events. Membership is limited.
