Mary brings a rich history in the film business to Super D starting in 1983 with her sales job at Commtron. In 1987, Mary took her expertise to Baker & Taylor Video as a sales manager where she established new business accounts and succeeded in running one of the most profitable branches in the nation. She was picked up by Ingram in 1991 as a key account executive in charge of introducing video to supermarket chains in Southern California. It was at Ingram that Mary also launched the first ever rental ready program at Wherehouse Entertainment (formerly a national chain of entertainment stores). In 1994, Mary jumped to the studio side of the business taking her sales and distribution know-how with her and landed at A-Pix Entertainment becoming the Western Regional Director of Sales and proceeded to open the studio direct with every major retailer in the Western U.S. and was eventually promoted to VP of Sales where she worked with the sales team to increase sales throughout the nation. In 2002, when the A-Pix library was purchased by Ardustry Home Entertainment, Mary joined their team as the Western Regional Director of sales (Ardustry later changed their name to Allumination Film Works). Mary established direct retail relationships and worked with all distribution channels to establish sales programs, rebates and spiffs.
Mary Flynn said, "I am very excited to have the opportunity to grow the DVD business at Super D and establish new relationships between Super D and the retail community."
Mary will be based out of the Irvine, California office and work directly with Bobby Miranda, Vice President of Sales, in Super D's Woodland, California office. She can be reached at (949) 225-1170 xt.209.
