A popular cosmetic surgery procedure is helping women look and feel sexier by correcting problem fat and improving the shape of their buttocks at the same time. Los Angeles cosmetic surgeon Dr. Robert Yoho (http://www.dryoho.com) says he is seeing heightened interest in his "butt enhancement" procedures, which combine liposuction and fat transfer techniques to smooth out problem areas and create a perkier, shapelier appearance.
"While it's not a procedure that gets a lot of press, buttock enhancement can do a lot to create a sexier and more proportional body shape," notes Dr. Yoho. "With this procedure, women are finding out that they can not only get rid of problem fat, but actually transfer it where they want it, so they can accentuate their curves much more effectively."
Unlike buttock implants, the fat-transfer procedure uses no large incisions and offers the added benefit of smoothing out "problem" areas at the same time. At his practice, Dr. Yoho begins the procedure with Los Angeles area liposuction to remove fat from problem areas such as the belly, and sometimes the flanks or the thighs. After the fat has been removed, it is purified and then inserted into the buttock tissues using a series of small, carefully placed injections that add up a dramatic change in the contour of the buttocks.
"Patients like the speed and the '2 for 1' aspect of this procedure, and they appreciate how natural the results feel," notes Dr. Yoho. "Since it's their own tissue, it looks natural and heals quickly. As a liposuction surgeon near Los Angeles, I use buttock enhancement to emphasize the patient's curves naturally, and have the experience and understanding to place the injected fat so it will retain its shape well in the long term."
After their procedure, patients typically experience some minor bruising around the liposuction and injection sites, but this disappears quickly and unlike traditional butt augmentation, this procedure leaves no apparent scars. Dr. Yoho has only a 3 per cent "touch-up" rate on these types of procedures, and because a large portion of his new patients are referrals from satisfied patients, he expects demand for buttock enhancement to grow.
"I'm seeing a lot more interest in these procedures, and plenty of women are coming to my cosmetic surgery practice for this treatment in particular. For the right patient, buttock enhancement is an effective way to create a better shape, and I only expect it to get more popular as more people find out what it has to offer."
