In conjunction with Sephora and Fashion's Night Out on September 10th - where retailers around the world united for one night in a global effort to boost the world's economy - Temptu, the leader in airbrush makeup and revolutionary beauty technology, introduced the Temptu Living Museum, a live replica display of some of the most iconic images by Temptu in cinematic and fashion history, at Sephora's landmark 5th Avenue location. Shoppers and museum guests throughout the night witnessed models brought to life from such silver screen highlights as The Stepford Wives and the pages of Italian Vogue, among other legendary Temptu makeup moments.
A longtime behind-the-scenes secret of professional makeup artists, Temptu took beauty enthusiasts through a breathtaking exhibition that depicted the range of Temptu's 28-year professional history and its impact on media and culture.
Some highlights from the night included:
LIVING WINDOW DISPLAYS: Shoppers along New York's 5th Avenue shopping mecca watched with amazement as Sephora's two storefront window displays each housed living models. Pedestrian traffic came to a halt as a live recreation of Temptu's 10-page spread in Italian Vogue was brought to life with airbrush makeup and tattoo applications. Rotating models that represented Temptu's iconic figures including international Vogue and W covers graced the windows.
LIVING ART: Throughout the store, live models depicting some of Temptu's most influential images in pop culture, including characters in The Stepford Wives and Cape Fear, and history-making magazine covers were on display.
TEMPTU THROUGH THE AGES: A guided tour with 2 separate flat screen monitors with reels on the History of Temptu and the Future of Makeup showed visitors Temptu's impact on media and culture.
PERSONAL HI-DEF MOMENT: Vistors clamoured to receieve their own hi-def makeover with Temptu's new AIRBrush Makeup System and AIR Pods and moved on to the retailer's mezzanine level for a photo shoot to create their own emblematic image on a mock fashion magazine cover.
