Leading digital research company, eDigitalResearch, has promoted Head of Research, Derek Eccleston, to the board of directors with immediate effect. In the year since he joined eDigitalResearch, Derek has significantly expanded the research and insight capabilities of the company, helped drive new product development and restructured and expanded the team.
With over 17 years' experience in international market research and analysis, much of it within the technology, media and communications sector, Derek is an experienced global insight leader. His promotion comes as eDigitalResearch expands its research team, appointing Daniel Curtis as Research Manager with specific responsibility for growing its telecoms portfolio.
Daniel has over 10 years research experience and joins eDigitalResearch from Mindshare where he was Business Director on the Unilever account, delivering detailed customer insight analysis and campaign evaluation. Previous to Mindshare, Daniel also held positions at TNS and ITV. Daniel was also a member of the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) research advisory committee and the National Readership Survey (NRS) research development group.
Commenting on the new appointments, Michelle Fuller, Director, eDigitalResearch, says, "Our focus is firmly set on business growth, delivering digital research products that are innovative, insightful and that enable our clients to make valuable business improvements. Since joining us a year ago, Derek has played a pivotal role in helping us continue to achieve this vision. He is a talented research strategist, one of the best in the business, and we are delighted to have him as a board director.
"Our research team is integral to our business. One of the sectors that we are focused on is telecommunications. We already have some high profile clients in this space and recognise that we need a dedicated manager. We are really excited to welcome Daniel to this role, where his focus will be to continue to explore and develop new technologies and products that gain a deeper understanding of consumers' wants and needs."
